FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• What is the age limit?

14 and over.

• Can my child be with me on the equipment?

No, there is only one seat belt in the cab for one person.

• Are spectators welcome?

Yes. We have a very good viewing area for spectators to observe and take photos during the experience. If room allows then they can also join the participant(s) in the shuttle. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.

• How many participants per instructor?

Two

• Do you need a drivers license?

No

• What kind of equipment is available?

Dig This uses all modern, user friendly Caterpillar equipment. Our fleet comprises of two 15 ton Track Excavators, and two D5 10 ton Bulldozers. For special events Dig This can add more equipment as required.

• What do I wear?

During the summer a good pair of hiking boots or equilivant and comfortable clothes is all that is required. Winter activities require shoes for winter conditions and a warm jacket. All of our equipment has climate controlled cabs so you be very comfortable during any conditions. Also the seats are adjustable to suit any height and weight for comfort during the experience.

• Is this a safe activity?

Yes. All participants are given a safety and equipment orientation prior to any activities. Each operator operates in their own working area far from any possible contact with any other participant. An instructor is always on hand and in constant contact with each operator. Our activities, although some are designed to take you out of your comfort zone, are very safe and exceptionally fun!
